Job Description:
As a Social Media Specialist at BlackMirror Media, you will be at the forefront of our online strategy, responsible for creating and curating compelling content across various social media platforms. Your role will involve developing and executing social media campaigns, interacting with our audience, and keeping a finger on the pulse of the latest trends. You will work closely with our creative and marketing teams to ensure a cohesive and impactful online presence.
Responsibilities:
- Content Creation: Develop creative and engaging content for social media platforms, including but not limited to YouTube, Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn.
- Strategy Implementation: Execute social media strategies to increase brand awareness, engagement, and follower-ship.
- Community Management: Interact with our audience and respond to comments, messages, and mentions in a timely and authentic manner.
- Analytics and Reporting: Monitor social media metrics, analyze performance, and provide regular reports to assess the effectiveness of campaigns.
- Stay Current: To inform our social media strategy and stay informed about industry trends, emerging platforms, and competitor activities.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the creative and marketing teams to align social media efforts with overall brand messaging and campaigns.
Requirements:
Technical Skills:
Social Media Platforms:
- Proficient in using major social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, etc.
- In-depth knowledge of major social media platforms, including their algorithms, each platform's unique features, best practices, and emerging trends.
- Proficient in YouTube content management.
- Proficient in creating and optimizing ad campaigns across social media platforms.
Content Creation and Curation:
- Graphic design skills using tools like Adobe Creative Suite.
- Video editing skills using tools like Adobe Premiere Pro or other software.
- Ability to create engaging and shareable content.
- Proficient in YouTube thumbnail curation.
Social Media Analytics:
- Experience using analytics tools like Google Analytics, Meta Insights, Twitter Analytics, etc.
- Analytical skills to interpret data and make informed decisions.
Community Management:
- Ability to engage with the audience, respond to comments, and manage online communities effectively.
- Conflict resolution and customer service skills.
SEO:
- Understanding of how social media impacts search engine optimization.
- Proficient in Search Engine Optimization tools such as SEM Rush, Ahrefs, etc.
- Proficient in YouTube SEO, Hashtag analytics, Competitive analysis, Trending analysis, etc.
Social Media Scheduling Tools:
- Familiarity with tools like Hootsuite, Buffer, Promo-Republic, or Sprout Social for scheduling and managing posts.
Trend Analysis:
- Stay updated on industry trends and be able to incorporate them into social media strategies.
Experience
- Proven Experience: Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in social media management, with a portfolio demonstrating successful campaigns.
- Content Creation Skills: Strong creative and writing skills (Tamil/English), with the ability to produce visually appealing and shareable content.
- Analytical Mindset: Experience using analytics tools to measure and interpret the success of social media campaigns.
- Adaptability: Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and ever-changing startup environment.
- Team Player: A collaborative mindset with excellent communication skills.
- A degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field is a plus.
