Job description

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

We are looking at highly organized and detail-oriented Purchase Coordinator to join our team and support our procurement activities. The candidate shall have worked in IT centric purchase environment and shall have good understanding of IT systems , hardware, software specifications, contracts, AMCs, telecom services like leased lines, data cards etc. Candidate shall support the purchasing team in managing the end – end purchase in effective manner.

JOB RESPONSIBILITY

1. Procurement Process Management: Support and exeute end-to-end procurement process, from requirement gathering to purchase order and payment management. Ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures. Track purchase requests, obtain necessary approvals, and manage vendor selection and evaluation. Analyze pricing structures, conduct cost comparisons, and negotiate favorable pricing and terms with vendors.

2. Accounting, Budgeting & MIS Reporting: Collaborate with IT & Purchase leadership to develop IT procurement budgets and monitor spending for cost-effectiveness and budget compliance. Possess hands-on knowledge of accounting, payment, and ledgering processes. Manage all purchase ledgers, internal/SBU-wise cost head management, and generate MIS reports as per requirements. Submit daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, half-yearly, and annual reports as needed.

3. Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with IT teams, department managers, and business stakeholders to understand their IT requirements. Build strong relationships and maintain open communication channels to ensure effective coordination and support. Address stakeholder queries related to procurement in a timely manner.

4. Market Research and Technology Evaluation: Keep abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and market developments in IT procurement. Evaluate new products, services, and solutions to ensure they meet organizational needs and provide value. Assist in the vendor evaluation process.

5. Process Improvement: Continuously improve IT procurement processes and procedures to enhance efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and stakeholder satisfaction. Identify areas for automation, streamline workflows, and implement best practices. Actively participate in process improvement initiatives.

EDUCATION QUALIFICATION REQUIRED:

A bachelor’s degree/ Diploma in business administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is typically required.
