JOB SPECIFICATION
Qualification
- B.E./B.Tech in Chemical Engineering
Experience
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning
- Plan and monitor projects with respect to budget and time without compromising on quality of work.
- Prepare mitigation plan in case of any deflections from estimates to minimize its impact on project timeline and budget
- Effective deployment of manpower resources (both internal and external) to meet the requirements.
Project & Team Management
- Reviewing and guiding project proposal with cost, scope & Project execution schedule/plan.
- Effective planning & monitoring of Project development with cost, time & Quality.
- Approving Inquiry documents like data sheet, Bill of Quantity, Scope of work for contractors etc.
- Reviewing of Technical offers & Preparing Technical comparison & Recommendation for capital items.
- Reviewing Project Drawing like PFD, P&ID, PDS, GAD & mechanical and structural drawing etc.
- Review Earned Value Management (EVM) for checking project performance.
- Implementing First Time Right(FTR)concept
- Ensure that team meets agreed objectives and to deliver best practice results, added value and continuous improvements
- Set department objectives and review and assess ongoing performance of direct reports against the same
Risk Management
- Identify and analyze risks that could potentially impact projects.
- Assign ownership of each identified risk to a team member who will be charged with overseeing that threat or opportunity.
- Prioritize project risks according to urgency and the severity of the impact they could cause.
- Respond to identified risks in accordance with risk management approach
Budget Management
- Cost Estimation and Creation of CPSR of new Projects
- Regulate cash flow as per business plan
- Maintain IRR for project for controlling cost.
Resource Management (External & Internal Stakeholders)
- Develop and maintain good relationships with external and internal stakeholders to ensure optimal performance
- Work collaboratively, negotiate and engage with key stakeholders to facilitate delivery and compliance
Statutory Compliance & Liaising with Govt. Agencies
- Statutory Equipment Testing & Inspection. (Pressure vessels, Centrifuge, Chain Pulley block, Dryers etc.)
- Compliance of department of legal metrology.
- Compliance of other internal & external audits.
Environment, Health and Safety & Factory rules compliance
- Ensure EHS SOP's and their required standards implementation in respective areas
- Successful implementation of EHS initiatives in the department. E.g. PSM initiative wherein designing and updating MSDS, P & ID, SOPs, MOC Tracking and up to date documentation etc.
