Responsibilities:
- Record Management:Oversee the organization and maintenance of patient health records in both physical and electronic formats
- Ensure accurate and up-to-date documentation of patient information
- Data Entry and Retrieval:Perform data entry tasks to update patient records with relevant information
- Facilitate the retrieval of patient records for healthcare providers as needed
- Confidentiality Compliance:Ensure strict adherence to patient confidentiality and privacy regulations
- Implement security measures to protect the integrity of medical records
- Quality Control:Conduct regular audits of medical records to ensure completeness and accuracy
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to address any discrepancies or missing information
- Release of Information:Process requests for the release of medical information in accordance with legal and organizational policies
- Verify the legitimacy of requests and maintain accurate records of disclosures
- Electronic Health Records (EHR) Maintenance:Work with electronic health record systems to update and manage patient information
- Troubleshoot and resolve minor technical issues related to EHR
- Training and Education:Provide training to healthcare staff on proper documentation procedures and record management
- Stay updated on changes in regulations and standards related to medical records
- Collaboration:Collaborate with other departments, including front office, billing, and clinical staff, to ensure seamless record management processes
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings as needed
