The role
The ServiceNow Developer will provide administration, application development, maintenance, and technical support with a focus on ServiceNow ITOM product line. They must practice good programming techniques to configure robust solutions for clients utilizing the ServiceNow platform.
The ServiceNow Developer will have both technical and creative design input to develop, configure, and maintain applications using their ServiceNow platform development experience to provide high quality, standards compliant solutions.

Key responsibilities:
Designs, develops, and maintains ITOM, CMDB, and APM solutions to support CMDB and APM process outcomes
Designs, develops, and maintains complex ServiceNow workflows to automate manual processes.
Develops creative design patterns and architectural frameworks to maximize the reuse of custom code.
Hands-on design, development, and deployment on the ServiceNow platform
Uses scripting tools and ServiceNow functionality where required.
Acts as a support contact for the business.
Manages incidents and participates in on-call coverage.
Work within an Agile framework to deliver high quality development to our userbase
Contribute to the global ServiceNow strategy
Develops clear and concise technical and process documentation, making use of the knowledge module within ServiceNow.
Creates system documentation and serves as a lead technical reviewer and contributor in design and code reviews.
Supports the ServiceNow centre of excellence by monitoring standards and governance and promoting update sets through our production stack
Assist in maintenance of the ServiceNow platform carrying out platform upgrades and routine maintenance
Performs system and integration testing
Assists the product team and business owners in finding creative ways to solve business problems and increase effectiveness.
Works with the product team to refine end-user stories before development begins.
Answers technical and configuration questions.
Coordinates and solves complex technical data and transformation issues.
Customizes ServiceNow configurations, including custom scripts,
Required Experience and Skills:
3+ years working with the ServiceNow platform as an Admin/Developer in an enterprise-wide, multi-tier ServiceNow production environment creating automated workflows, service catalog and service portal items, REST and SOAP integrations, scoped applications and widgets, client scripts, server scripts, and UI policies.
3+ years scripting within ServiceNow, with strong skills in the following languages: using Glide and Jelly Scripting, Java Script, HTML, XML, AJAX, CSS, JSON, AngularJS.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Services, or related field preferred.
ServiceNow System Administration certification and/or ServiceNow Application Development certification required, other certification desirable.
Solid knowledge of architecting the extension of ServiceNow data structures and Common Service Data Model to create applications
3+ years working within ServiceNow ITSM, ITOM, Service Catalog, Service Portal, and Customer Service Management areas.
3+ years of experience in Agile/Scrum development environments.
Experience with ITSM, ITBM, and ITFM Modules
