Job description
- Responsible for creating and maintaining master data, which is the core information that supports our business processes and operations
- Ensure master data is accurate, consistent, and compliant with the company s standards and policies
- Responsible for Data cleansing, Normalization and standardization
- Focus is on maintaining high-quality data that meets the standards and requirements of the business
- Collaborate with various stakeholders, requestors, and senior team members to support in delivering Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and quality standards, whilst fostering a culture of working safely
This is a Fixed Term Contract role for 12 months
Duties Responsibilities
What you'll do -
- Create and extend materials in the appropriate plant and sales organizations as required.
- Create and maintain Assembly Bills of Material (BOM), Manufacturing BOM, and Routing group assignments as per specifications.
- Execute data validation procedures to ensure the accuracy of material master data.
- Verify and rectify errors in a timely manner to maintain data integrity.
- Validate assembly BOM and data against drawing BOM and CDT processes to ensure alignment.
- Communicate timely and professionally to users, management, and senior leadership.
- Document and communicate any discrepancies, updating the Knowledge Base for team training and reference.
- Develop corrective and preventive measures to mitigate errors and prevent recurrence.
- Collaborate with senior team members to review and update recommended changes to the material master.
- Work closely with senior team members/ cross-functional teams to effectively communicate job loading, completion, and any relevant aspects.
- Collaborate with other team members to collectively achieve team objectives.
- Responsible for the data cleansing of the Master data (Material, Vendor Customer)
- Leads process standardization, data governance, cleansing activities, maintenance, and data quality improvement efforts in alignment with data strategy goals.
- Analyze and clean master data from the local ERP system to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with SAP standards.
- Identify and rectify data discrepancies, duplicates, and inconsistencies.
- Implement data cleansing best practices to enhance data quality and integrity.
- Document data cleansing procedures, methodologies, and outcomes.
- Prepare comprehensive reports on data quality metrics and improvements.
The Individual
What you'll definitely need -
- Bachelors in mechanical engineering with 2-3 years or relevant experience.
- Experience with data management and data quality.
- Proven experience in master data management, preferably in a manufacturing or similar industry.
- Good Knowledge in SAP or other relevant ERP systems.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on data accuracy and integrity.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Results oriented.
