Job description
- We are looking for a Payroll Manager to lead our payroll functions
- The Payroll Manager will be responsible for administering the regular, quarterly, and year end payroll processes for India employees and ensuring timely and accurate processing of all payroll related transactions
- They will also have the opportunity to help grow and expand into new countries

Job Responsibilities
- Process India payroll runs on a Monthly basis for employees across multiple platforms. Will act as backup for USA Brazil payroll processing.
- Manage workflow to ensure incoming and outgoing payroll data is processed timely and accurately. Service as point of contact for Deel payroll team ADP Celergo.
- In-depth understanding of India payroll tax compliance to ensure accuracy of system settings and processed transactions.
- Maintain payroll related tax account registrations as needed; make sure all due diligence in relevance to payroll accounts are completed.
- Assist employees and internal external teams with payroll inquiries related to payroll matters
- Own month-end close, quarter-end and year-end payroll processes and related tax reconciliations.
- Assist with developing and implementing payroll process/systems for other entities (ie. Brazil, USA).
- Cross-functional collaboration with business partners (People/Benefits / Finance) for process improvements and efficiencies.
- Proactively analyze and detect opportunities for improvement and recommend scalable processes and/or best practices
- Create and/or maintain payroll documentation as it relates to processing, operational procedures, compliance, and other payroll-related matters.
- Perform data reconciliation/audits to ensure data integrity across multiple disparate systems (e.g. HCM, Benefits)
- Stay current on regulations, benefits changes, and labor laws impacting the payroll process, and stay compliant for all payroll tax jurisdictions.
- Assist in ad-hoc duties when required (ie. Audits)
Skills/Qualifications Required
- Minimum of 2-4 years of payroll processing, preferably with a global public company.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with team members and other stakeholders
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and proven to have excellent time management skills to deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
- Recent processing experience with Deel, ADP WFN, and/or ADP Celergo, preferred.
- Experience of handling international payroll and setting up payroll processes across geographies such as in the US (multi-state) and LATAM (Brazil.)
- Strong communication skills, written/verbal, and the ability to interact with employees at all levels.
- Strong MS Excel skills (VLOOKUP s, Pivot Tables, etc.)
