Key Responsibilities:
- Manage Business Finance
- Manage the key financial actions of the company around working capital, operating profitability, business financing and cash flows. Analyze strengths and weaknesses to propose corrective action plans whenever necessary.
- Prepare accurate forecasts so that management can make informed tactical decisions on cash, working capital, procurement and sales.
- Improve the company's KPIs on working capital, cash management & operating bottom-line.
- Build and maintain banking relationships for raising working capital limits and term loans for the business.
- Accounting, Tax & Compliance
- As the Financial Controller, ensure financial, accounting and tax compliances.
- Prepare quarterly and annual financial statements.
- Manage Audits and finalize audited financial statements on time.
- Prevent GST and TDS leakages by working with internal and external stakeholders.
- Leadership and Team Management
- Supervise and lead all finance personnel (accountants, managers etc.)
- Guide, mentor, lead, train and problem solve for the finance team.
- Interview, recruit and grow the team in collaboration with HR.
- Tech implementation:
- Co-lead the implementation of ERP system.
- Lead design and customization for MIS, cost-saving indicators, and unit cost derivation
- Build system and process to enable automated preparation of reliable current and forecasting MIS reports and management triggers.
- Build robust checkpoints to optimize financial processes.
Skills:
- Well-versed in all aspects of financial management ranging from simple accounting, tax, compliances to banking. The ideal candidate will be an excellent leader since the entire commercials and financial operations will be under her/his command.
- In depth knowledge of corporate taxation and GST
- Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods
- Proficient in the use of financial management software (e.g. Tally)
- Demonstrated experience in working in a transaction intensive environment with high volume of daily sales, purchases, dispatches, inventory movements, payments, TDS, etc.
- Strong interpersonal and communications skills
Qualifications:
C.A. with 5+ years post qualification experience – ideally in an ecommerce, retail, or trading company.
