- Establishes and aligns Software Test Plan based on Master Test Plan & Strategy and Software Development Plan
- Supports definition of the Master Test Plan & Strategy
- Ensures feasibility of the Software testing activities
- Ensures the application of the project test strategy in Software test teams (incl. Software Test Process)
- Analyzes and approves testability of requirements
- Defines and deploys the Software Test Resources (Engineers & Environment) Deployment Plan
- Supports the design of the Software Test Environment
- Approves the Software Test Specification
- Freezes the content of the Software smoke test
- Approves and communicates Software Test Report, to be shared also with FuSa
- Closes the Software test activities
- Defines, tracks and reports of KPIs (Software Test Status) in his/her area of responsibility
- Continuously identifies areas for improvement, define measures and ensure implementation in his/her area of responsibility
- In case of deviations, escalates to the Software PM and provides adequate information and proposals for decision making
- Takes part of the Functional Core Team
- Is responsible for Process Adherence & Product Results of Software test area: delivers Software test artifacts at the expected quality & makes sure their reviews are green (at the respective CP)
- Overall Software Test Lead's responsibilities, in addition to the above ones
- Ensures consistency and alignment between the different Software Test Leads Plan
- Ensure that all input documents/Requirements are covered along the different Plans, if not an overall Software Test Engineer needs to be assigned in the project to cover the gaps.
Skills - Experience in project management (plan, monitoring and control against priorities...)
- Experience in software testing
- Understanding of software test case writing methodologies and test execution
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication/reporting skills
- Knowledge of process models (e.g. Automotive SPICE®), regarding verification and validation process areas
- Optional: Certified ISTQB Test Manager Advanced Level
- * Overall Software Test Lead's skills, in addition to the above ones: -Experience in different Product Lines Authorities: - Functional authority for software test resource allocation (human and infrastructure) - To escalate issues regarding testing according to escalation matrix/level as defined within project test strategy - To request all necessary inputs to carry on team's duty (project plan & schedule, project test strategy..)
