Align is currently seeking a Business Analyst, ServiceNow to join our DWE organization. This ServiceNow Business Analyst will be responsible for managing the demand pipeline, prioritizing requests, and delivering solutions for the ServiceNow platform. The role requires strong business analysis skills, project management skills, and ServiceNow knowledge. He/She will work closely with the ServiceNow Platform Owner, ServiceNow Developers, and business stakeholders to ensure alignment of business needs and technical capabilities.
As the Business Analyst, you will work as the primary liaison between the business line, operations, and the technical areas throughout the project cycle, work with business users as well as senior management.
In this role, you will…
- Collect, review, analyse, and manage business, user, and system requirements from client stakeholders to create clear, concise, demand records, enhancements and/or user stories.
- Run the Intake and Demand Management processes to complete, prioritize, and direct development work to be performed by our ServiceNow development team.
- Collaborate with process owners and business owners to elicit and agree requirements and prioritize features, enhancements, and system integrations.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement within business operations, prioritize, and manage ongoing operational issues and key deliverables to the ServiceNow platform.
- Bridge the gap between business and technology ensuring common understanding between functional (for business needs) and non-functional requirements (quality attributes, scalability, interfaces, constraints, etc.)
- Convey business requirements and design concepts with models such as gap analysis, use cases, prototypes, etc. as appropriate.
- Create, refine, and maintain functional requirements/user stories/use cases and associated deliverables – process flows, test cases, etc. to meet development and partner needs.
- Ability to work independently lead and take ownership of projects.
- Facilitate project status reviews and governance; coordinate the project by arranging project meetings, producing status documentation, and meeting minutes and informing team members of decisions made.
- Manage and / or complete the UAT process by developing test cases, performing smoke testing, test case validation, and obtaining business approvals on UAT for scheduled deployments.
- Contribute in a collaborative way to the team with information-sharing and cooperation.
- Stay up to date with the latest ServiceNow releases and features to ensure we continuously improve our solutions and offerings.
In this role, you’ll need …
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 5+ years of experience in Business Analyst, Demand Manager role for ServiceNow Platform.
- Strong knowledge of the ServiceNow Platform (functionality, configuration, and administration) and the potential value and benefits that can be delivered, either OOB or with minimum customisation.
- Proven experience focused on ServiceNow ITSM (Incident, Problem, Change Management), IRM (Integrated Risk Management), GRC (Governance Risk Compliance), and cross functionality among current and future modules.
- Strong business analysis skills, including the ability to gather and document detailed requirements, analyze processes, and propose effective solutions.
- Experience in creating process flow diagrams and use cases.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including IT, Security, Compliance, and end-users.
- Solid understanding of project and software development methodologies / techniques (AGILE)
- Experience with Jira, Confluence, and other agile tools.
- Strong interpersonal, negotiation, multitasking, and conflict-management skills
- The ability to navigate ambiguity, overcome confusion, and simplify complex situation.
- Proficiency in capturing and documenting business requirements, functional specifications, test scenarios/scripts, data models and business procedures
- Strong communication skills - verbal, written, listening and presentation.
- Certification in ServiceNow System Administrator, ITIL Foundation, or PMP is a plus
