Job description
Role and Responsibilities: As a senior NodeJS Specialist: · Drive a large-scale OTT project as a key lead. · Work with cross-functional/globally distributed teams. · Optimize application performance and scalability to ensure seamless streaming experiences for users. · Own the POCs compatible with the systems on the new areas of the product. · Implement best practices for code quality, security, and maintainability. · Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends in OTT development. · Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members. · Work closely with DevOps teams to deploy applications and manage infrastructure. · Evaluate different tools and techniques to create a common ground on which developers work and perform daily tasks. · Prepare documentation and work with the test and deployment team to deploy the backend systems. · Continuously improve development processes and tools to streamline workflow and enhance productivity.
Qualifications and Education Requirements: Must Have: · Proven experience in Node.js development, with a strong understanding of asynchronous programming. · Extensive knowledge of OTT technologies and protocols, including HLS, MPEG-DASH, and DRM. · Experience in bringing new technology and adopting it to the product. · Deep understanding of OTT domain and must have worked on Media and OTT Platform as an architect. · Expertise in handling the overall process of designing and implementing the OTT application components. · Knowledge about complete infrastructure required for OTT platforms. · Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform. · Proficiency in database systems such as MongoDB, MySQL, or PostgreSQL. · Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively. · Expert in integration with different third-party OTT backend components such as recommendation, CMS, analytic engines etc. · Strong passion for learning and creating new products and features. · Handy with NodeJS development environments.
