Title : UI - UX Designer Job Type: Full Time, Work from Office Location : Bangalore Years of Experience : 3+yrs Salary : As per Market Job Summary: The candidate will drive user interface and user interaction design of various digital software applications in domains such as medical devices, industrial products, telecom, etc. The candidate would need to work with Product Managers and Engineering Managers, Business Analyst, within HCL as well as client organization. The candidate should handle fast-paced project work and excel at taking on projects independently, supporting other designers and engineers on projects. We are a highly collaborative group, and our clients are based across the globe, thus communication skills are key. The candidate would front end the discussions with client partners and/or end customers to fully understand the requirements and provide design solutions to the delight of customers
Education: Required: Bachelor's Degree/master's degree in User Interface Design and or User Interaction Design and or User Experience Design from Tier-1 Design Institutes preferably from
NID (National Institute of Design) preference: [NID Ahmedabad, NID Bangalore]
OR
IDC (Industrial Design Centre, Mumbai)
Experience: 3-5 years of relevant experience working on UI for Software Applications (not websites or apps)
Experience with software applications in Medical Device domain with familiarity to therapeutic, clinical requirements is preferred.
Key Responsibilities - Preliminary and final User Interface Design concepts based on the requirements and design guidelines
- Perform detailed design and analysis to meet the design, usability, and functional requirements
- Create final Design recommendations using industry leading and standards tools
- Create effective visual design for clickable prototypes to effectively communicate the design & evaluate intended user interaction
- Conduct design evaluations at regular intervals
- Maintaining documented evidence of design evaluations carried out throughout the design process (Heuristic evaluations / Formative user testing)
- Implement design changes as per feedback from user & business stakeholders
- Final design transfer of the UI assets & extended support to the engineering, to ensure design integrity
Requirements & Skills - Demonstrated skills and experience in the domain of the position applied for
- Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, or other visual design tools
- Proficiency in industry leading and standards tools in wire-framing such as Adobe XD, Figma, Axure, etc.
- Use empathy and non-linear thinking and the ability to see the consumer as a person and ideate solutions with the consumer in mind
- Design thinking, adoption of best practices in design
- An excellent communicator, Fluent in English (other languages is a plus), ability to tell stories and convey concept ideas skillfully to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Disciplined with time, possess the capability to set priorities and be accountable
- Driven to take on large responsibilities and deliver quality work independently
- Deal effectively with the dynamics of a collaborative work culture
- Ability to work through short and long-term projects
- Open to travel as per project requirements
- Previous experience of working on medical devices with familiarity to various therapeutic/ clinical applications would be considered as a plus
- Experience / Exposure in working on digital interfaces for software applications of physical products would be considered as a plus
