Job description
- Design Leadership: Provide leadership to the product design team, overseeing the end-to-end design process. Set design standards and ensure the delivery of high-quality, user-centered designs.
- Collaborative Design: Work closely with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to align design initiatives with product goals. Foster a collaborative environment that promotes creativity and innovation.
- Design Strategy: Contribute to the development of design strategies and design system frameworks. Ensure consistency and coherence across all product design elements.
- Talent Development: Mentor and guide design team members, fostering their professional growth and development. Provide constructive feedback and support continuous learning.
Core Competencies and Skills:
- Design Expertise: Proficient in design tools such as Figma, and Adobe suite. Strong portfolio demonstrating a range of design projects.
- Collaborative Approach: Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams. Ability to articulate design concepts and rationale to non-design stakeholders.
- Leadership Skills: Demonstrated leadership skills in managing and/or design teams. Ability to inspire and motivate designers to achieve excellence in their work.
- User-Centered Design: Advocate for user-centered design principles and conduct user research to inform design decisions.
- Adaptability: Ability to adapt to evolving design trends, technologies, and industry best practices.
Preferred qualifications:
- Education: Bachelors or Master s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience: 8-10 years of experience in product design or UX, 5 years of experience leading design projects and managing people or teams or 3 years of work experience with executive leaders.
- Multi-platform: Experience designing across multiple platforms, and working with technical/design teams to create user flows, wireframes, and building user interface mockups and prototypes.
