Job Description - Legal Officer

Job Responsibilities:

• Handle legal matters and provide advice on legal issues to ensure compliance with local laws and regulations.
• Draft and review contracts, agreements, and legal documents.
• Conduct legal research and stay updated on changes in laws and regulations that may impact the company.
• Assist in resolving legal disputes and represent the company in negotiations, mediations, and court proceedings.
• Review marketing and promotional materials for compliance with legal requirements.
• Collaborate with internal departments to develop and implement policies and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with intellectual property rights and protect the company's trademarks.
• Provide training to employees on legal matters and promote legal awareness within the organization.
• Monitor and manage legal risks and identify potential areas of vulnerability.
• Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in legal affairs.

Essential Qualifications:

• Law degree from an accredited university.
• Valid license to practice law.
• Strong knowledge of commercial and corporate law.
• Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Desired Experience:

• Prior experience working as a legal officer or in a similar legal role.
• Experience in contract drafting and negotiations.
• Familiarity with the restaurant industry and franchising.
• Knowledge of international laws and regulations.
• Experience in handling intellectual property matters.
• Experience in dispute resolution and litigation.
• Understanding of employment laws and regulations.
• Experience in providing legal training or presentations.
