JOB SCOPE
Role : Cybersecurity Tools and Intelligence Engineer
Reporting to the Manager of Cybersecurity Tools and Intelligence, the CTI Engineer is responsible for information security operations infrastructure maintenance and monitoring. This role works closely with other Security Engineers supporting maintenance, integration, and automation of security operations solutions.
Responsibilities
- Recognizes and identifies potential risk areas to existing system security policies and procedures and implements remediation findings.
- Provides management with risk assessments and information security training to uphold enterprise security measures.
- Works with other Security Engineers to support implementation, maintenance and upgrades to security applications and hardware.
- Prepares recommendations and implements changes to work methods and procedures to make them more effective and/or to strengthen security measures.
- Analyzes the work process, making recommendations to improve the work-flow efficiency and/or operation productivity.
- Maintains contact with vendors regarding security system updates and technical support of security products.
- Monitor and maintain existing security infrastructure and deployed technologies
- Act as an escalation point for the Security Operations team for incidents that need a deeper level of investigation
- Evangelize security policies throughout the organization to promote shared responsibility
- Review leading practices as well as industry standards and work to create an acceptable balance between performance, convenience, and practical implementation
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Knowledge at an enhanced level of deploying security technology including but not limited to software and hardware integration to existing environment
- Ability to understand technical manuals, software specifications, hardware principles of operations, and general methods of systems software operations and security
- Ability to communicate effectively dealing with internal and external customers and suppliers
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required
- Accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to handle many tasks and procedures concurrently
- Problem analysis skills that can be applied in a complex environment
- Effective documentation and organization skills
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
- Experience in recommending security enhancements
- Knowledge of risk assessments and testing of systems
- Managing security infrastructure and r ecommending security enhancements
- Linux and Windows tools and security practices and c ommon security agents and how they function
- SIEM, EDR, SOAR, Vulnerability Management, IDS/IPS, VPN, WAF, NAC, AV, DNS, PKI, Cloud (AWS, Azure)
- BS in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field desirable.
- 3+ years of progressive experience in information security
