Job description
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Junior Medical Coder. You will receive comprehensive training and support to develop your skills in translating medical records into standardized codes used for insurance reimbursement and reporting.
Key Responsibilities: Analyze patient medical charts, physician notes, and other documentation to identify relevant diagnoses and procedures. Assign accurate codes using ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems. Collaborate with medical billing and healthcare providers to clarify coding questions or discrepancies. Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current on coding updates and regulations. Maintain strict confidentiality of patient health information (PHI) in compliance with HIPAA guidelines. Qualifications : Recent completion of an Associate's degree or accredited certification program in medical coding. Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
