We are currently seeking an experienced Compositing Supervisor to join our team in Mumbai, India, and lead our compositing Team.

Position Overview:

As the Compositing Supervisor at Midas VFX Mumbai, you will assume a leadership role in directing our compositing endeavors, overseeing the post-production process, and ensuring the seamless integration of visual effects elements. Leveraging your extensive experience and technical prowess, you will provide guidance, mentorship, and strategic direction to our compositing team, ensuring the highest caliber of quality and efficiency across all projects. Responsibilities:

Lead and inspire a team of compositors based in Mumbai, offering mentorship, feedback, and support throughout the post-production process. Collaborate closely with directors, supervisors, and key stakeholders to comprehend the creative vision and objectives for each project. Develop and implement compositing workflows, standards, and best practices to foster consistency and efficacy across projects. Oversee the creation and seamless integration of visual effects elements, encompassing keying, tracking, matte painting, and colour grading. Review and provide constructive feedback on compositing work to uphold the utmost level of quality and fidelity in the final output. Strategise and troubleshoot complex compositing challenges, employing your expertise to devise innovative solutions. Remain abreast of industry trends, technologies, and techniques, disseminating knowledge to the team to foster continuous improvement.

Requirements:

A minimum of 5 years of professional experience

in supervisory roles

within the film and television. Demonstrated experience in a leadership or supervisory capacity, showcasing a track record of effectively leading and mentoring teams. Mastery of compositing software such as Nuke and Mocha A deep understanding of visual effects principles, methodologies, and best practices. Exceptional communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills. Proficient problem-solving abilities and an acute attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with 3D elements. Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python) for automation and workflow enhancement. Knowledge of alternative compositing software and tools. Understanding of colour science and colour management in visual effects.
