What will you be engaged in Within this exciting role you will be responsible for:
- Handling general accounting tasks, including the preparation of internal management accounts including balance sheets, profit and loss reconciliations, monthly foreign exchange revaluation, and maintaining intercompany matrices and fixed asset registers.
- Managing the payroll processing by ensuring accurate record-keeping and maintenance, timely submission of timesheets, and liaising with external payroll providers to ensure on time/accurate reporting to the Indian tax authority.
- Ensuring subcontractor invoices are coded correctly and are accompanied with the relevant instructions for payment, processing incoming invoices, checking the validity of purchases and allocating this against the appropriate projects.
- Accurately entering purchase invoices into the accounts processing package to guarantee appropriate recording and systematic collation.
- Facilitating Treasury management efforts, which includes finalisation of bank reconciliations across multiple bank accounts, ensuring the accurate and timely payment of invoices, implementing controls for the payables function, reviewing funding needs, and setting up payments in the bank for approval.
- Providing support for month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Facilitating the annual audit and tax return processes.
- Investigating and resolving account discrepancies and issues of non-compliance.
- Managing the Deltek financial system and actively participating in reviewing and recommending continuous improvements.
- Oversee the preparations of project invoices in agreement with cash flows, oversee reconciliation of cash receipts to invoices on client ledger, follow-up outstanding receivable accounts and undertake other sales ledge duties as required.

Specifically, we're looking for people who:

- Hold a tertiary accountancy-related qualification, including a Bachelor's and/or Master's degree any internationally recognised institution.
- Possess 3-5 years' practical experience in an operational finance role, post qualification, with public accounting experience highly valued.
- Knowledge of and experience in the application of Indian taxation law
- Experience in International financial standards and taxation requirements essential
- Knowledge of ledger and project accounting essential
- Exhibit a high level of proficiency in finance systems, with prior experience using Deltek considered an advantage.
- High level skill in written and verbal communication.
- High proficiency in English
