Job description
Role Description for Electrical Engineer
The candidate is expected to prepare and design Electrical Calculation & Drawings of Industrial Buildings such as process buildings like Substations, Control rooms and non-process buildings like administrative building, operator buildings, laboratory building, canteen, warehouse etc.
Exposure to Hydrocarbon Industry is required.
Technical Competency:
- Calculation and Design of Lighting, Fire Alarm system including smoke detector location study, earthing and lightning protection
- Cable sizing, cable schedule, Cable tray and trench sizing
- Development of layouts of Lighting, Fire Alarm system device location layouts, Earthing & Lighting protection layouts, conduit layouts, cable route layouts, lighting panel schedules, circuit distribution diagrams, Block diagrams
- Interface with other facilities such as structural, architectural requirements like false ceiling, false flooring, HVAC, firefighting system, telecommunication system, plumbing works etc.
- Procurement assistance (preparation of Material requisition, Vendor offer evaluation, Technical Bid Analysis and Vendor document review) for the electrical bulk ( Trays, lighting material, Junction boxes panels, earthing material, conduits, sockets, cables and wires, electricals for HVAC package which includes HVAC MCC.
- Thorough knowledge of the Codes and Standards for the electrical engineering such as IS , BS, IEEE, NFPA, IEC, IESNA etc.
- Ability to interact with customers for approval of the calculations, layouts and 3D model.
- Knowledge about the IGBC AP (Indian Green Building Council - Accredited Professionals) will be an added advantage
