Job description
Nasdaq Technology is looking for a passionate Senior Director with a focus on Business Continuity and Crisis Management ('BCM')t, to join the Bangalore technology center in India.
The BCM Senior Director will work across the organization to ensure the consistent adoption of the BCM program, BCM Policy, ERM Tools and best practices. The role reports to the Head of Business Continuity & Crisis Management.
Your Role And Responsibilities - Work across the organization with all business units and expert functions to maintain and evolve the corporate-wide BCM program that addresses business recovery and crisis management response.
- Support the ongoing development of a comprehensive business continuity and operational resiliency strategy and program and lead key components of the program, from a business unit coverage perspective and from a program perspective, that support response, develop resiliency, and enable recovery from events that disrupt business operations.
- Assist in the execution of Business Continuity Planning (BCP) life cycle activities including training, business impact analysis, BCP update, review and testing. Provide reporting as appropriate.
- Work closely with business unit and expert functions to implement best practice risk management using the the BCM framework and overarching risk governance to meet the needs of the businesses and stakeholder expectations (e.g. regulatory, client)
- Work proactively to improve BCM processes and services by staying informed of trends and best practices.
- Liaise with BCP Coordinators and Plan Owners to develop effective working relationships and documented BC Plans.
- Build key relationships with business unit and expert function management and serve as an escalation point for BCP issues and support for strategy formulation.
- Develop and implement organization-wide training and communications.
- Develop and update Crisis Management Procedures based on business requirements.
- Conduct Crisis Management Training based on scenarios, procedures, and business requirements.
- Plan, conduct and debrief mock crisis management exercises to test the adequacy of existing crisis management procedures and plans. Conduct post mortem assessments to identify actions to update procedures and strengthen crisis preparedness.
- Assist GRM team members in preparing reports to management, risk committees and other risk governance forums.
- Aggregate and analyze BCM Program data to provide actionable information to management.
- Effectively communicate with the broader global risk team and partner with peers to ensure consistency of approach and awareness of issues, challenges, and opportunities.
- Proactively engage Internal Audit, SOX, Compliance, Information Security, Supplier Risk Management and other assurance functions to support an integrated approach to risk management. Share knowledge and expertise to achieve shared goals.
We expect you to have: - 12+ years of experience, with relevant Business Continuity and Crisis Management work experience.
- Preferred expertise in business continuity and crisis management.
- Conceptual and practical experience in operational risk management, technology risk management, and operational resilience experience a plus.
- Prior experience with Business Continuity platforms and tools is desirable.
- Experience in the financial services industry (capital markets or financial technology), preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and oral and written communication skills.
- Strong communication, facilitation and influencing skills; able to articulate and communicate complex ideas and concepts in a clear, concise, and structured manner while anticipating questions/objectives.
- Inquisitive nature, resourcefulness, and ability to seek out information.
