Designation - Financial Analyst: Quantitative & Qualitative Research
Role: We're seeking a motivated individual with a passion for finance and investing, equipped with strong research skills. The main focus of this role is to conduct thought-provoking qualitative and quantitative analysis. You'll be responsible for translating your research into comprehensive yet concise written and verbal formats. Proficiency in creating impactful deliverables using PowerPoint and Excel is crucial. If you're driven, and analytical, and you excel at transforming complex financial insights into clear, compelling yet simple analysis, this role is for you. Responsibility: ▪ The selected candidate will be tasked with conducting comprehensive financial analysis, creating financial models, and preparing reports to evaluate the financial performance of the companies and industries. ▪ The role involves monitoring and conducting qualitative and quantitative research on a variety of topics on an ongoing basis, with a focus on summarizing the research findings in concise research briefs. ▪ Responsibilities include researching diverse topics related to the Indian markets, industries, both private and public companies, economies, brands, and startups, contributing to large content pieces. ▪ The candidate will also play a key role in analyzing and assessing upcoming initial public offerings and developing analytical frameworks for various sectors to inform stock investments. ▪ The candidate will also be involved in the delivery of the content in a video format. The candidate should possess the following skillsets: ▪ The ideal candidate should possess a solid grasp of financial concepts, including a deep understanding of financial statements, ratio analysis, and debt structures. They should be adept at identifying reasons behind changes in key financial trends such as profitability, liquidity, and gearing ratios. ▪ Additionally, the candidate should be well-versed in various valuation methods such as DCF, Relative, SOTP, and have a strong familiarity with comparable company valuation, encompassing trading and transaction multiples, DCF, and the computation of Enterprise Value, etc. ▪ Critical thinking is crucial, as the candidate should understand and analyze strategies employed by companies, brands, and governments, going beyond surface-level observations and formulating hypotheses. The ability to validate and triangulate sources for accuracy and relevance is also a key requirement. ▪ Strong research skills are essential, and the candidate should confidently articulate ideas and viewpoints. Excellent writing skills are a must, allowing the conveyance of complex research ideas in a compelling and easily understandable language. ▪ Candidate should possess strong financial domain knowledge and a keen interest in stock markets and investing. ▪ The candidate must also demonstrate an aptitude for data analysis, with excellent knowledge of MS Excel and MS PowerPoint. Experience, Qualification, Compensation & Benefits ▪ Experience – 1-3 years of relevant work experience ▪ Qualification – Degree or Certification in finance is a must e.g., CA/CFA/FRM/MBA (Finance). ▪ Compensation & Benefits – Attractive compensation at par with industry standards.
