Overview : The Operations Manager – Kitchen plays a pivotal role in overseeing and managing the daily operations of the kitchen within our organization. This position requires a blend of strong leadership, culinary expertise, and organizational skills to ensure efficient and effective kitchen operations. As we continue to grow and expand our operations, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Food Operations Manager to join our team.
Team Leadership:
Lead, motivate, and supervise kitchen staff to ensure high levels of productivity and morale.
Provide guidance and coaching to team members to foster professional growth and development.
Conduct regular performance evaluations and address any performance issues promptly and effectively.
Kitchen Operations Management:
Oversee the daily operations of the kitchen, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation.
Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely ordering of ingredients and supplies to maintain adequate stock levels.
Implement and maintain kitchen sanitation and safety standards in compliance with health regulations.
Menu Development and Planning:
Collaborate with the culinary team to develop innovative and appealing menu offerings.
Plan and execute menu changes, special events, and promotions in coordination with the management team.
Ensure menu items are cost-effective and align with quality standards and customer preferences.
Quality Control:
Maintain high standards of food quality, freshness, and consistency.
Conduct regular inspections and quality checks to ensure adherence to recipes and presentation standards.
Address any quality issues promptly and implement corrective measures as needed.
Customer Service:
Work closely with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless coordination between the kitchen and dining areas.
Address customer feedback and inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
Strive to exceed customer expectations by delivering exceptional dining experiences.
Budgeting and Cost Management:
Monitor kitchen expenses and labor costs to ensure adherence to budgetary guidelines.
Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements without compromising quality.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in a culinary leadership role, preferably in a high-volume restaurant or hospitality setting.
Excellent leadership abilities with a record of accomplishment of effectively managing and developing teams.
Exceptional organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
Knowledge of kitchen sanitation and safety regulations.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Bachelor's degree in culinary arts, hospitality management, or related field preferred.
