Inviting applications for the role of Principal Consultant - Desktop Testing, Java Selenium, Power Shell
We are seeking a skilled Desktop Testing Engineer proficient in Java, Selenium, and PowerShell to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in testing desktop applications, automating tests, and ensuring software quality through meticulous testing processes.
Responsibilities
· Develop and execute automated test scripts using Java and Selenium WebDriver to test the functionality, usability, and performance of desktop applications.
· Design and implement robust automation frameworks for desktop testing, ensuring scalability, reliability, and maintainability of test scripts.
· Collaborate with development teams to integrate testing into the continuous integration and delivery pipelines, enabling automated testing of desktop applications in various environments.
· Conduct manual testing activities as needed, including test case creation, execution, and defect tracking, to supplement automated testing efforts.
· Utilize PowerShell scripting for tasks such as environment setup, data preparation, and test automation infrastructure management.
· Analyze test results, identify defects, and work closely with development teams to prioritize and resolve issues, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality software.
· Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and advancements in desktop testing methodologies, and incorporate relevant practices to enhance testing processes.
· Provide technical support and guidance to team members, fostering collaboration, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement in testing practices.
Qualifications Minimum qualifications we seek in you!
· Bachelor's or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
· Years of experience in software testing, with a focus on desktop applications and test automation.
· Proficiency in Java programming language and experience in developing automated test scripts using Selenium WebDriver for desktop application testing.
· Strong understanding of desktop application testing methodologies, including UI testing, integration testing, and compatibility testing.
Preferred qualifications
· Hands-on experience with PowerShell scripting for automation tasks, environment setup, and infrastructure management.
· Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git), continuous integration tools (e.g., Jenkins), and defect tracking systems (e.g., Jira).
· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues and drive
