Torte is a renowned establishment known for its commitment to culinary excellence. We are launching a new and exciting experiential dessert bar, opening soon in Gurgaon, dedicated to providing a unique and unforgettable dining experience. Our menu will feature a selection of exquisite desserts, fine-dining European savouries, artisanal pastries, premium coffee selections, and a unique bar and chef's table experience. We are looking for a passionate and skilled chef with a flair for European savoury cuisine

Responsibilities: 1.

Menu Development & Execution: Create innovative and seasonal menus that showcase European flavors and ingredients. Develop new dishes and recipes that reflect current culinary trends and guest preferences. Ensure menu items are cost-effective and meet quality standards. Collaborate with the team to plan and execute seasonal menus. Collaborate with the management team to plan and execute special events, tasting menus, and promotions. Ensure that all menu items are executed flawlessly and meet guest expectations.

Kitchen Management: Oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and plating. Manage inventory and food costs to achieve budgeted goals. Supervise kitchen staff and ensure they adhere to recipes, portion sizes, and quality standards. Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, following food safety and sanitation guidelines.

Food Quality and Presentation: Ensure all dishes are prepared to the highest standards of quality and presentation. Taste and adjust seasonings and flavors as necessary to maintain consistency. Plate dishes creatively and aesthetically, following restaurant standards.

Staff Training and Development: Train kitchen staff on proper cooking and plating techniques, food safety, and sanitation procedures. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior chefs and kitchen staff. Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback for improvement.

5.

Cost Control: Monitor food costs and implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality. Manage inventory levels and minimize waste through efficient kitchen practices.

Requirements: Proven experience as a Head Chef or Executive Chef in a fine dining restaurant, specializing in European cuisine. Culinary degree or equivalent certification. In-depth knowledge of European culinary traditions and techniques. Strong leadership and management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Creative flair and passion for culinary excellence. Multilingual skills is a plus.
