Job description

Objective:
To head the creative function of the agency and be responsible for the quality of creative output and its impact on the client and market.

This role has to ensure delivery of strategic communication solutions that help clients attain their marketing and communication objectives.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Day to day creative management 
  • Oversee the creative and design process across the agency 
  • Liaise directly with clients to decide the strategic and creative direction of a project and make it a tangible and deliverable product
  • Hands-on design of flagship design projects 
  • Review creative before it is delivered to clients
  • Work with cross-functional teams (Account management, copy, dev) to determine the best creative output for the agency 
  • Staying on top of latest trends in design productivity and AI to company's productivity and profitability 
  • Ensure projects are delivered as per schedule and specs, within estimated costs of production and ideation
  • Improve quality results by studying, evaluating, and re-designing creative processes; implementing changes
  • Participate in pitching for new clients and projects
People:
  • Build and grow a creative team with the right combination of skills to suit the needs of the agency's clients and the market 
  • Inspire and upgrade ideation skills
  • Ensure skill levels of the team are up to expected standards
  • Engage employees through regular feedback and reviews
  • Ensure employee training and retention
  • Build and maintain a pool of contractors and freelancers of specialist skills for overflow work
Organizational:
  • Understand business and commercial implications to provide solutions
  • Create and own the agency's brand, marketing collateral and portfolio management to help with sales and business development 
  • Work on pro-active ideas for existing clients to help engage clients generate new business 
  • Work towards producing result-oriented and award-winning creatives
  • Develop skill levels and standards for the creative team
  • Chart the strategy for the agency's creative output

Work Experience:
  • 10+ years in graphic design
  • 5+ years managing design and production teams
  • Relevant experience in Digital and Advertising space
  • Exposure to branding an added advantage
Knowledge:
  • Limitations and possibilities of web and mobile technology / concepts. 
  • Expertise in UX/UI and graphic concepts and functions
  • UX/UI and graphic design tools
  • Evolving technologies
Skills:
  • Excellent motivational and leadership qualities

  • Ability to identify and work with new technologies and concepts
  • A business understanding of the latest trends in digital design
