WHAT WE DO
Western Digital India Team represents Engineering R&D, Sales, Marketing, Operations, Strategy, Business
Functions and Communications. We have a large R&D presence in Bengaluru and sales offices across the country.
WD Bangalore is a Center of Excellence and within R&D, our team is focused on firmware development enterprise Hard Disk Drive development. It is a growing team that has within 2 years been responsible for key enterprise products, delivered the highest performing, lost cost, air datacenter hard disk drive and has been instrumental in design, development of next generation architecture and products.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Work with Product, Development, DevOps and Validation teams to understand the vision of the organization and configuration of cloud infrastructure resources.
• Evaluate the current Architecture and optimization opportunities.
• Manage cloud environments, Monitor cloud performance and resource utilization, optimizing as needed.
• Establish and maintain Identity and access management (IAM) policies.
• Implement automation and orchestration tools and processes to streamline cloud operations.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) templates and scripts.
• Work with different development teams, resolve open issues to ensure a seamless experience for the customer.
• Work with peer teams to ensure that the Cloud Services are in accord with the roadmap for products and services.
• Strategize and execute Cloud Optimization efforts; Manage relationships with cloud service providers and negotiate contracts and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
• Self-motivated to work both unsupervised and as part of an agile team. Collaborate to develop self and others within group.
• Participate in planning and coordinating significant technical investigations from problem statement to conclusions.
• Innovate and ideate on new processes, technologies, and tools.
Bachelors +10yrs experience or Master+8yrs experience in CS, IT, CE or equivalent required.
• Minimum 2+Years experience in playing the role of a Cloud Architect/Cloud Lead role
• Hands-on development experience with Java Spring Boot services and cloud native applications in Java and NodJS
• Strong background in all aspects of software development – Architecture, Design, Implementation, Testing and Integration
• Strong background in Cloud technologies, infrastructure and application monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana)
• Strong understanding of networking, security, and compliance in cloud environments.
• Certification in cloud technologies such as Solution Architect/Cloud Architect
• Demonstrated ability for analytic thinking and learning new technologies, complex code and developing system, architecture view and user problems.
• You are comfortable and enjoy working with dynamic and ever evolving environments.
• Technical mindset with great attention to detail and an ever positive, can-do attitude.
• You have excellent interpersonal skills, including written and verbal communication and are an effective collaborator.
