Job Responsibilities : At Apeejay Stya University's School of Design & Visual Arts (SDVA), the candidate oversees cultivating a sense of empathy for the students and make the university's internal operations run smoothly by working closely with the SDVA and other schools, as well as working in allied non-academic areas. The SDVA team relies on the candidate to support students, faculties, staff, the industry network and international alliances achieve a wide range of academic and overall experiences at ASU as a key SDVA team member. The candidate is expected to provide high-quality education to first year students and across all grade levels, with a focus on developing a broad range of skills in students through hands-on activities as well as more traditional academic pursuits like research and writing. In this role, the candidate will use her/his design experience (academic and professional) in active and engaging learning environment that reflects a professional design scenario. The candidate will inspire students to solve design challenges, examine strategic business objectives, and influence the form, function, and emotional experiences of communities around us and globally by leveraging their proven track record of designing innovative and intelligent solutions. The understanding of future-centric pedagogy, fashion design, ability to utilise design thinking, emergent technologies, strategic socio-business objectives, and design experiences will be key. Working with a diverse student ability, the candidate will lead collaborative industry projects with the relevant brands in India and globally to activate creative ideas, and implementable solutions to real-world design challenges. The fashion design student’s portfolios will assist them to succeed in subsequent semesters.
