Job description
Overview:
The Stock Executive plays a pivotal role in the efficient management of inventory and supplies within the organization. They are responsible for ensuring that the right products are available at the right time to meet customer demand and to minimize excess stock levels contributing to the overall success of the companys operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain accurate inventory records and stock levels.
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of products.
- Analyze stock movements and generate reports on inventory performance.
- Implement inventory control measures to avoid stockouts or overstock situations.
- Collaborate with other departments to forecast demand and plan stock replenishment.
- Conduct regular stock audits and reconcile discrepancies.
- Optimize warehouse layout and storage to maximize efficiency.
- Develop and implement strategies to minimize carrying costs and reduce dead stock.
- Monitor and report on slowmoving and obsolete inventory.
- Respond to stockrelated queries and issues from internal and external stakeholders.
- Utilize inventory management software to track stock movements and update records.
- Participate in the development of procurement and inventory policies and procedures.
- Assist in the preparation and execution of stock clearance and liquidation activities.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in stock management.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration Supply Chain Management or a related field.
- Proven experience working in stock or inventory management roles.
- Demonstrated proficiency in data analysis and reporting.
- Strong understanding of supply chain principles and logistics.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detailoriented with a focus on accuracy and precision.
- Ability to work effectively in a fastpaced and dynamic environment.
- Familiarity with inventory management software and tools.
- Capability to multitask and prioritize workload effectively.
- Knowledge of inventory control best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Understanding of procurement processes and vendor management.
