Overview:
The Business Development Manager plays a crucial role in HDFC Bank by identifying new business opportunities building key customer relationships and maintaining extensive knowledge of the current market conditions. This position is pivotal in driving revenue growth enhancing the Banks market presence and contributing to its overall success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and develop new business opportunities to achieve sales targets
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships to ensure customer retention and loyalty
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends opportunities and threats
- Develop and implement strategic sales and marketing plans to drive business growth
- Negotiate and close business deals that promote sustainable growth
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless implementation of business strategies
- Prepare and present regular reports on sales and business development activities
- Stay updated with industry trends market activities and competitors strategies
- Participate in promotional activities and industry events to build the Banks brand
- Oversee the development of marketing materials and sales collateral
- Provide guidance and coaching to the business development team
- Forecast sales targets and ensure they are met and exceeded
- Manage client relationships through all phases of the sales cycle
- Adhere to all relevant regulations compliance policies and ethical standards
- Contribute to the continuously improving the Banks business processes and strategies
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration Finance Marketing or related field
- Proven experience in business development sales or relevant field
- Demonstrated ability to achieve sales targets and drive business growth
- Strong analytical and strategic planning skills
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
- Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships
- Indepth knowledge of market research and analysis
- Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software
- Ability to work effectively in a fastpaced dynamic environment
- Strong leadership and coaching skills
- Solid understanding of banking products and services
- Proven track record of successful business development strategies
- Detailoriented with excellent organizational skills
- Ability to travel as required
- Certification in Sales or Business Development is a plus
