Job description

Position: Purchase Sr.Executive - Feed Supplements & Additives

Department : Procurement/Purchasing

Based Location : Hyderabad

Reports to : Procurement Manager

Objective : To manage and oversee the procurement processes for feed supplements and additives, ensuring quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely deliveries.

Key Responsibilities

Supplier Relations :

Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers of feed supplements and additives.

Negotiate contracts, terms, and prices with suppliers.

Maintain and develop strong relationships with existing suppliers while seeking new potential suppliers.

Order Management

Generate and issue purchase orders based on inventory needs and production requirements.

Track orders and ensure timely delivery.

Resolve any discrepancies in orders, including quantity, quality, and pricing issues.

Market Analysis

Monitor market trends in the feed supplement and additives industry.

Stay updated on new products, technologies, and supply chain developments.

Analyze price trends and forecast future market conditions.

Inventory Management

Collaborate with the inventory and warehouse team to ensure optimal stock levels.

Assist in periodic stock checks and inventory audits.

Quality Assurance

Coordinate with the quality control department to ensure all purchased items meet set standards and specifications.

Address and resolve quality issues with suppliers.

Documentation & Compliance

Maintain comprehensive records of all purchase activities, including order details, invoices, and supplier contracts.

Ensure adherence to industry regulations and company policies concerning feed supplements and additives.

Collaboration

Work closely with the production and sales departments to understand product needs and requirements.

Collaborate with finance teams to streamline invoice approvals and payments.

Qualifications And Experience

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

Experience in purchasing, preferably in the animal feed, supplements, or additives industry.

Strong negotiation skills. Knowledge of the feed supplements and additives market and its suppliers.Familiarity with procurement software or SAP systems.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
