Job Description: Project Associate, Programs - Social Impact Organization: Labourhome Department: Social Impact Location: Delhi (with extensive travel required) Reports To: Social Impact Manager
Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our Social Impact team as Project Associate for the Social impact Program. This program aims to address the high attrition rate among daily-wage construction workers by creating a sustainable engagement model. In this role, you will play a crucial part in the initial research and development phase, supporting program design and execution while gaining valuable experience in the social impact sector. Responsibilities: Research and Development: o Assist in researching construction worker demographics, migration patterns, family dynamics, and motivations for frequent returns. o Participate in village visits and conduct fieldwork (focus group discussions, community mapping) alongside senior researchers. o Assist in analyzing and documenting research findings. o Contribute to the development of program strategies and interventions based on research insights. Program Design and Support: o Assist in developing program frameworks, timelines, and budgets. o Prepare presentations and reports to communicate program progress and findings to stakeholders. o Support the Program Manager with logistical arrangements for program activities. Data Management and Analysis: o Assist in collecting and analyzing data using quantitative and qualitative methods. o Use Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, for data management and analysis. o Contribute to data visualization and interpretation of findings. Communication and Collaboration: o Maintain effective communication with partners, project team members, and stakeholders. o Assist in drafting communications materials, such as email newsletters, social media posts, and progress reports. Travel and Fieldwork: o Be prepared for extensive travel across India to support research and program activities. o Adapt to diverse work environments and demonstrate cultural sensitivity. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in any relevant field, such as Social Work, Development Studies, Public Administration, or related discipline. Minimum of 1 year of experience working in the social impact sector or a related field, preferably with research or program management exposure. Strong research skills, including experience with qualitative and quantitative research methods. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team and with diverse stakeholders. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. Ability to travel extensively across India and adapt to challenging work environments. Passion for social impact and a commitment to improving the lives of construction workers.
