Job description
The Engineering Specialist will work closely with Senior Engineering Manager for Existing Business, supporting the critical capability required for key programmes of work, which are made available in line with the overall Roadmap and Planning strategy. This can be applicable to retained applications or the applications which are now with our Majority Partner (TCS). This role will also contribute to the acceleration of legacy Application closure and decommissioning in support of Group Simplify Programme aim to move to Strategic IT
Key focus areas:
Engineering oversight for specific cluster of applications (Eg: Sales and Commercial tools, Fulfilment, Service)
Component Capacity, Demand Prioritization & Validation for specific cluster of applications.
Application and Security Estate Management for the cluster.
EOSL Management including Security Risks
Support the decommission plan.
What you ll be doing
Provide engineering oversight for cluster of applications within the 'Existing Business' Organization, ensuring our organizations ability to deliver high quality on time and on budget and implementing means of bringing measurability as well as predictability.
Executes and contributes to the technical roadmap of 'Existing Business', supporting the decommissioning strategy.
Executes technical decisions and architecture for a wide range of products, capabilities, and platforms, effectively balancing short-term impact with long-term transformation.
Manage teams capacity and budget forecast to deliver in line with demand prioritization and roadmap.
Collaborate closely with product management, design, quality assurance, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment and successful delivery of projects.
Support the resolution of complex & escalated issues using technical knowledge.
Manage/mitigate the security risks and End of service life position for cluster of applications.
Supports engineering and operational excellence initiatives, implementing metrics and process for regular assessment and improvement.
The skills you ll need to succeed.Short Description
Bachelor s or master s degree in engineering.
8+ years of experience in engineering, leading cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
Strong technical background with expertise in [specific technologies or domains].
Proven track record of successfully delivering complex engineering projects on time and within budget.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
Experience with agile methodologies.
Understanding of business strategy and the ability to align engineering goals with organizational objectives.
Commercial acumen.
