Job description
Continuing with the tradition of innovation, MetLife, as part of its Data and Analytics function, has established a Data and Analytics (DnA) center in India. The setup of DnA Hyderabad center is a key multi-year strategic initiative focused on scaling data governance, data architecture, data engineering, data science/machine learning/ artificial intelligence, visualization, agile delivery capabilities, enabling a more cost-effective analytics operating model, and increasing data and analytics maturity across the MetLife global community.
Role Value Proposition:
Driven by passion and a zeal to succeed, we are looking for accomplished project manager with agile expertise to structure, plan and handle multiple projects with minimum supervision and will be responsible for successful completion of projects with various strategic initiatives in development and successful implementation of Analytics lifecycle and its practices.
This position will report to Delivery Manager and be part of Analytics Delivery function at DnA Hyderabad and would be responsible for complete adherence of the projects and its objectives and support all aspects of project management. This role will also support development of best practices, processes, and framework to achieve standardization and streamlining across various initiatives
Job Responsibilities:
Manage and deliver end-to-end projects by adhering to the Analytics Lifecycle and Agile delivery model
Responsible for defining, delivering, implementing and executing data and analytics programs from development to production
Develop artifacts and project documentation required for compliance and audit
Prepare project status reports for review with stakeholders and ensure appropriate governance checks are maintained
Track project progress, risks, and issues to ensure timelines and deliverables are met and regular cadence with key stakeholders is in place
Work with release manager to get projects in deployment queue and operationalize
Run project/program specific scrum meetings and perform all scrum activities like backlog grooming, sprint planning, sprint retrospective etc.
Work with multiple Analytics Leads in US and other geographies to gather requirements as needed and implement it for successful project closure
Gather process improvement requirements and develop/update processes and frameworks as needed and provide suggestions to governance team
Development of detailed documentation and strategic presentations for executives
Update roadmaps and process workflow charts as per requirement
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, or related field
Master s in business administration is preferred; IT/Analytical certification is a plus
5- 8 years of experience in project management preferably in insurance/financial/healthcare industry working in Analytics domain/team Proficient in MS Office suite: Excel, PowerPoint, Project.
Experience running projects delivery using Agile methodologies
Understanding of analytical tool stack, Azure Devboards, Jira, SharePoint is a plus
PMP/Prince2, CSM, SAFe Agilist certifications are preferred
Ability to identify risks to project success and recommend course of action to prevent risk from negatively impacting the project; Effectively recognize when to escalate issues and options to senior management for resolution
Strong communication skills to lead interactions with business and technology leaders
Strong networking ability to communicate interact with diverse talent and an attitude to thrive in a fun fast paced startup like environment
