Role description:
Drive Automation within the context of the global data and information management strategy and the global integrated professional services strategy. Deliver coordinated efforts between global excellence center (GEC) Automation capability and Business Areas. This role can be located in any of Arcadis GEC offices ( Philippines, India, Romania).
Report directly to Global Executive Director Professional Services; Dotted line report to Global Services Data & Information Management Director.

Individual Accountabilities:
Automation Delivery
- Responsible for delivering Automation initiatives as per the global data and Information management strategy.
- Act as a key proponent & role model to drive the implementation of digital solutions within our Global Excellence Center (GEC) and Business Areas (Bas)
- Actively work with Global Services leadership on services roadmap, maturity assessment, and automation requirements.
- Promote building digital capabilities in GEC and wider business.
- Responsibility and oversight of the automation-focused initiatives within the StA program.
Coordination & Business Interface
- Actively interact with Tech function and GEC to ensure the right capabilities available to deliver Automation initiatives.
- Build strong working relations with Global Business Area (GBA) Intelligence to develop or build new digital solutions in our project/service delivery.
- Work closely with GBA leadership and services leadership on automation initiatives pipeline and delivery program
- Best practice and knowledge sharing to improve penetration of digital tools/ products in BA.
- Work with Growth organization to better appreciate market trends, technology developments, and client needs.
- Build internal capability on Low Code – No Code, Citizen Development, and approved Tech stacks. Interface with the AI task force.
Learning & Development
- Promote GEC as a hub for Automation activities, and influence local and regional leadership to enhance the digital capabilities of the workforce.
- Work with People functions for capacity and capability building.
Key Shared Accountabilities:
- Responsible for delivering Services Automation in conjunction with Global Service Directors and Services Data and IM Director
- Key interface with GEC leadership and Services managers to deploy appropriate resources and capability development.
- Interface with the Tech function for coordinated efforts on delivering the Automation pipeline.
- Interface with GBA Digital Directors and Global Data and Information Management Director
Decision Rights:
Owns : Automation prioritization, backlog, and resource deployment; Delivery of GBA GEC Automation metrics
Influences: Recruitment decisions, capability development
Vetoes: Non-standard tools and processes for automation
Qualifications & Experience:
To be successful in this role,
- Degree-qualified and demonstrate experience working in, or alongside the engineering or professional services sector.
- Demonstrate significant experience in delivering automation and digital transformation of business services, with a good understanding of engineering applications, usage, and upcoming technology advancements.
- Show experience in building key stakeholders’ relationships, being able to influence and drive change around transformation, and building a community of champions to drive the promotion and benefits of automation globally.
- Senior leader with significant experience in delivering Automation, and digital transformation of business/services.
- Good understanding of Engineering applications, usage, and upcoming Technology advancements.
- Confident communicator - used to dealing with people at all levels, in particular, at senior levels.
- Strong stakeholder management and ability and knowledge to influence GEC usage.
