Job Responsibilities
Senior Accounting & Compliance Managers are expected to bring a high level of expertise
and experience to their role, contributing significantly to the financial & compliance risk
controls and processes to the organization.
Financial Accounting:
Planning and executing monthly/quarterly/annual closure schedules
Providing monthly financial statements
Administering the monthly closing process
Monitoring and ensuring reclassification and accounting of incorrect or unaccounted
entries
Preparing and explaining weekly profit & loss projections
Establishing product line profit & loss statements to identify opportunities and risks
Creating month-end provisions for expenses
Drafting and presenting weekly and monthly management reports on cost & benefit
analysis, productivity analysis, inventory turnover analysis, and cost variance
analysis
Reviewing financial results and undertaking year-on-year and quarterly comparisons
of company performance
Ensuring compliance with applicable policies, contracts, and regulations
Compliance:
Administering Legal Assignments of company, Banks Limits, Guarantees, Companies
Tax, and Accounts Assessment
Enforcing compliance for GST, TDS, Service Tax, VAT, and others
Adhering to corporate tax compliance timelines as per statute (assessments, filing of
returns, etc)
Preparing submissions for scrutiny assessments, rectification / stay application,
appeal to be filed with the Commissioner of Income-tax and Income-tax Appellate
Tribunal
Representation before the Tax / appellate authorities and following up with the tax
authorities for rectification / stay applications / refund orders of the clients
Good understanding and working knowledge of Corporate & Tax laws and regulatory
matters
Preparing memos & presentations for advisory assignment for corporate tax and
regulatory matters
Co-ordinating with the audit teams and conducting review of tax provisioning and tax
audit finalization
Requirements
A minimum of 10 years of experience including accounting leadership roles in real estate
industry
Experience in handling complete accounting & tax compliance functions independently
Ability to manage the accounts department and multi-company accounts
Strong knowledge of auditing processes
Strong communication and interpersonal skills (language proficiency)
Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
Ability to work in teams
Commerce Graduate and Preferably Semi-qualified (CA/CMA-Inter)
