What You'll Be Doing As the Head of Recovery and Litigation, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the recovery and litigation process for the company. Your primary goal will be to efficiently recover outstanding debts and mitigate legal risks while ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
Develop and implement Recovery Strategies Leverage scale benefits and operating efficiencies like improving Due date Collections and higher compounded collections efficiency
Monitoring and Co-ordinating with Regional Team on achievement of Monthly Target
- Collection and Bad Debts Performance
- Voluntary and Involuntary. Churn Reduction
- Cost of Collections within Budget
- New Initiative and Automation
Manage Litigation Process Manage entire legal proceedings, documentation(Arbitration/Lok Adalat/Civil Suits/ Sec 138/ Fraud, etc) for delinquent customer recovery
Responsible to identify, onboard legal representatives and Recovery Agencies
Representing the company in legal proceedings/against cases, working with outside counsel wherever applicable
Risk Management Identify and assess legal risks associated with debt recovery efforts, and develop proactive measures to mitigate these risks
Compliance Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies throughout the recovery and litigation process
Team Leadership Lead and mentor a team of field recovery executives and collection professionals, providing guidance and support to help them achieve function goals
People Management through identifying timely need of resources
Collaboration Work closely with other departments, including Finance, Customer Support, and Compliance, to streamline processes and improve overall efficiency in debt recovery and litigation.
Reporting Prepare regular reports on recovery and litigation activities, including key metrics, trends, and outcomes, to be presented to leadership
What Will Make You a Great Candidate - Bachelor's degree in Law or related field; Master's degree preferred
- Minimum of 10 years of exp. in debt recovery and litigation, with a proven track record of success
- Strong knowledge of Indian laws and regulations related to debt recovery and litigation
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, legal professionals, and other stakeholders
- Proven leadership abilities, with experience managing teams and driving results in a fast-paced environment
- Analytical mindset, with the ability to assess complex legal issues and develop innovative solutions
