Job description
Role title: Sr. Manager Accounts & Finance
Location: Chennai
Reporting to: Head Accounts & Finance
Team size: 5-6 members
Experience: 10 to15yrs in Mfg. / tier 1 companies
Summary:
The Sr. Manager is responsible for managing and running all the accounting and financial activities ofÂ
the organisation - including AR, AP, Taxation, Finalisation, Compliances, Audit, etc.,
Responsibilities:
Supervision of day to day accounting - Ensure timely bills booking & Accounting with appropriate approvals & Posting
Periodical Review of Trial Balance, also along with Sub-Ledgers
Maintain timeline of Monthly closing of books of account
Timely Finalisation of financial statement
Statutory Compliances - GST, TDS, Corporate Tax, MSME, Corporate Affairs, ROC compliance etc
Interaction with Consultants/Legal Advisors etc
Revenue recognition as per accounting standards
Overall responsibility of Payables Management including Systems establishment
Handling Statutory audits and internal audits
Inter-unit reconciliation
Overall responsibility of Receivable Management including best systems establishment
Monitor cash balances and cash forecasts
Monitoring of control systems designed to preserve company assets and report accurate financial results
Maintain relationship with Banks & Insurance companies etc
Implement operational best practices
Handling accounts team
Provides leadership & direction to the accounts team
Monitor & enhance control systems - SOP/Business Process/Control Reports
Develop & Maintain robust internal control system to safeguard the company systems & assets
Desired profile:
Qualified CA with at least 10 years post qualification experience and overall at least 12-15 years of work experience.
Should be exposed to manufacturing processes and related accounting systemsÂ
Should be able to create systems & processes where necessary and personal leadership qualities to both deliver and drive high standards of accountability and results.
Should be hands-on with all prevailing accounting principles, practices, compliance and regulatory affairs.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, Interpersonal skills & Teamwork, Highly self-motivated, Analytical skills with ability to interpret voluminous data
Should have an innovation and excellence mindset to constantly improve what is there.
Knowledge of Hindi is an added advantage.
Experience in ERP must. Preferable in SAP
