About the role

Location: Hyderabad

The purpose of the role is to own and lead the development and implementation of automation initiatives across Novartis.

Your responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Process Improvement: Identifying opportunities along with business teams to improve operational processes within the organization. Role analyzes existing workflows, identify bottlenecks, and develop strategies to streamline and automate these processes. This includes leveraging technology and tools to optimize efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance productivity.
• Automation Strategy: Develop and implement an automation strategy that aligns with the organization's goals and objectives. Assess the feasibility of automation projects, prioritize initiatives, and create a roadmap for implementation by collaborating with stakeholders across different departments to understand their requirements and ensure that automation solutions meet their needs.
• Project Management: Oversee the entire lifecycle of process automation projects. Define project scope, set objectives, create project plans, allocate resources, and monitor progress. Manage project budgets, timelines, and ensure that deliverables are met on time and within budget. Effective project management skills are crucial to successfully implement automation initiatives.
• Technical Expertise: Should have a strong technical background and stay up to date with the latest automation technologies and tools. Need to have a deep understanding of business process Automation (BPA), Robotic Process Automation (RPA), machine learning, artificial intelligence (AI), and other relevant technologies to evaluate and select the most appropriate automation solutions for their organization.
• Effective and efficient change management via communication, training
• Should be able to identify potential risks in automations and develop strategy to mitigate them.
• Responsible for monitoring the performance of automated processes and measuring the impact of automation initiatives by establishing key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the efficiency, effectiveness, and ROI of automation projects.
• Should prepare regular reports and presentations for senior management, providing insights on the benefits achieved and recommending further improvements.

Role Requirements

• 12+ years of working experience, at least 8 years in Automation technologies like RPA, BPA and Cognitive automations
• Strong experience in leading and delivering automations at scale
• Experience in Microsoft Power Automate Desktop is a must
• Experience in Appian or Power Apps is essential.
• Exposure to AI/ML technologies & Strong cross functional collaboration
• Strategy Development, People Leadership, Operations Management and Execution
• Patient/client driven with excellent communication skills
• Risk Management
