Position Title: Research and Development Specialist Experience: 8-10 years in Rubber Compounding, New Product Development, Reverse Engineering, and Raw Materials Development Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to lead theResearch and Development department as the Head of R&D. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in rubber compounding, new product development, reverse engineering, and raw materials development within the rubber industry. Responsibilities: Lead and manage the Research and Development team to drive innovation and excellence in rubber compounding, new product development, and raw materials development. Develop and implement strategies to enhance the performance and capabilities of rubber compounds for various applications. Oversee the development of new rubber products from conceptualization to commercialization, ensuring adherence to quality standards and timelines. Utilize reverse engineering techniques to analyze competitor products and identify opportunities for improvement or differentiation. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Production, Quality Assurance, and Sales to ensure alignment of R&D initiatives with business objectives. Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory requirements related to rubber materials and compounds. Manage R&D budget, resources, and external partnerships effectively to achieve departmental goals. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize processes, reduce costs, and enhance product performance. Foster a culture of innovation, creativity, and knowledge sharing within the R&D team. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in rubber technology or related field. Advanced degree (Master's or Ph.D.) preferred. 8-10 years of progressive experience in rubber compounding, new product development, reverse engineering, and raw materials development. Strong knowledge of rubber chemistry, formulation principles, and processing techniques. Proven track record of successfully leading R&D projects and delivering innovative solutions in the rubber industry. Experience with reverse engineering methodologies and tools for product analysis and improvement. Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage timelines, and allocate resources effectively. Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and present technical information effectively to stakeholders. Demonstrated leadership capabilities with a focus on coaching, mentoring, and developing talent within the R&D team. Familiarity with quality management systems, regulatory standards, and industry certifications related to rubber manufacturing.
