- As an EHS Executive, you will be responsible for implementing and overseeing environmental, health, and safety programs within an organization
- This role involves developing and enforcing policies, conducting safety training, and ensuring compliance with regulations to create a safe and healthy work environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Policy Development:Develop, implement, and update EHS policies and procedures in accordance with local regulations and industry standards
- Ensure that policies are communicated effectively to all employees
- Compliance Monitoring:Monitor and ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations
- Stay informed about changes in regulations and update policies accordingly
- Training and Education:Conduct safety training programs for employees on topics such as hazard recognition, emergency response, and use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Develop and deliver educational materials on EHS topics
- Incident Investigation:Lead and participate in incident investigations to determine root causes and prevent recurrence
- Document and report incidents, injuries, and near misses
- Risk Assessments:Conduct risk assessments to identify and evaluate potential hazards in the workplace
- Develop and implement strategies to mitigate risks
- Emergency Preparedness:Develop and maintain emergency response plans
- Conduct drills and exercises to test the effectiveness of emergency procedures
- Safety Inspections:Conduct regular safety inspections and audits of facilities and work areas
- Identify and address safety concerns and non-compliance issues
- Communication:Communicate EHS initiatives, updates, and guidelines to employees
- Facilitate open communication channels for reporting safety concerns
- Record Keeping:Maintain accurate records related to safety training, incidents, and inspections
- Prepare and submit reports to regulatory agencies as required
- Continuous Improvement:Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in EHS programs
- Implement measures to enhance overall workplace safety and environmental performance
