Job description
Mid-to-high level fluency in English REQUIRED .
7 to 10 years of Systems Administration and/or Systems Engineering experience .
Expertise in Linux OS Administration, including patching and package management/maintenance . Operating System install experience; familiar with automated deployments (Kickstart, Satellite, etc) . RedHat Linux OS installation, configuration, upgrade and patching . Familiarity with server hardware, debugging and repair, and out-of-band management . Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills .
Scripting experience - BASH/shell, Python, Perl, or similar . Networking experience: a solid understanding of switching/routing, firewalling, DNS, and common protocols . Virtualization experience (VMWare, vSphere) . System performance monitoring and troubleshooting (Zenoss, Cacti, Nagios, PRTG etc.) . System security vulnerability identification and remediation . Storage and Backups experience .
High Availability RedHat Clustering experience . Ability to perform repeatable tasks at scale . Strong documentation skills . Experience with source code management tools (git or similar) . Experience with config management/automation systems (CFEngine, Ansible, Puppet, Chef, or similar) . Hardware troubleshoot (Dell, Fujitsu) tracking, resolution, and routine maintenance (firmware/security updates) . Working in structured change management processes, ability to follow internal rules and regulations . Strong technical aptitude and ability to research and solve complex issues independently .
Strong understanding in Cloud Technology and experience in deployments or migrations in Amazon AWS or Microsoft Azure preferred . Bachelor’s Degree preferred
