Job description

Understand the production plan. Prepare the supplier schedule based on the closing stock of previous month. Review shortage report & ensuring material availability as per production plan. Maintain min / max level & safety stock. Ensuring defect free parts online. Acquiring knowledge about the raw material specifications &manufacturing process of all types of

"indirect material & services" . Effectively coordinating quality related issues with suppliers. Identify cost improvement opportunities Reduce inventory, procure small lots & increase the number of inventory turns. Timely release of PO's / SA's to suppliers. Coordination with stores for sorting out GRN related issues. Process PO against Purchase requisitions, Float RFQ's, Cost Comparisons, Negotiations etc. Negotiate CAPEX purchase orders, terms & conditions, ensure delivery within committed timelines Prepare service agreements / contracts. Service bill verifications & submission to finance with required documents on time. Coordination with Finance for supplier payments. Ensuring that the rejection is sent back with proper documentation. Participating in the review meetings regarding shortages (internal & along with Production). Participating in the review meetings regarding quality issues.
