Assistant Manager – Learning and Development (Full time role) Mumbai, India

Job Summary: As a Learning and Development Specialist, you will play a crucial role in enhancing our organization's performance and productivity by strategically managing the learning and development needs of our workforce. You will be responsible for creating and implementing training programs, coaching, and mentoring initiatives, and promoting a culture of continuous learning. Your primary objective will be to facilitate the growth and development of our employees while contributing to talent management and organizational success.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Develop and maintain a comprehensive annual training calendar to address the organization's skill and knowledge gaps. Manager end to end L&D process including training need analysis, design and deployment of learning solutions. including Management Development Programs (MDP), Leadership Development Programs (LDP), Sales Training Programs, and First-Time Managers training. Organize outbound training and team-building events to enhance team cohesion and communication. Measure the effectiveness of training programs and provide insights for continuous improvement. Define the levels of evaluation, the impact of training on individuals and the return on investments and return on expectations based on the genre of the program. Prepare and monitor the budget allocated and optimise learning investments efficiently. Implement external coaching and mentoring programs to facilitate individual and team development. Foster a culture of continuous improvement through one-on-one coaching and group mentoring sessions. Be a learning ambassador to business and promote learning continuity in the organization. Partner with multiple stakeholders including internal HR, business leaders, and external training partners to drive L&D actions in alignment with organization goals. Prepare appropriate communication strategy for learning programs/ initiatives, content development for campaigns, and showcase the value of learning at every possible business touch point. Prepare L&D metrics/dashboards for business strategic review and discussions. Explore new training vendors and continuously assess the training needs in the organization. Support the development and execution of talent management strategies, including short-term and long-term retention plans. Identify high-potential employees and create talent pool development programs to nurture and retain them. Build a robust talent pipeline to meet current and future organizational demands. Assess and improve employee satisfaction through various learning and development initiatives. Plan and execute employee engagement activities that promote a positive work environment and foster teamwork. Collaborate with HR to address employee concerns and enhance job satisfaction. Design and administer 360-degree feedback processes to provide employees with valuable insights for personal growth. Develop and manage an intensive induction program to onboard new employees effectively. Oversee training related to Prevention of Sexual Harassment (POSH) to create a safe and respectful workplace. Ensure compliance with legal requirements and promote a culture of respect and inclusion. Experience in designing and implementing succession planning initiatives.

REQUIRED SKILLS, QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Skills: Confident and articulate communicator capable of inspiring strong collaborations Self-starter, action-oriented with strong sense of urgency Excellent project and program management skills with analytical thinking ability Functional knowledge of learning and learning tools would be preferred Proactive. Positive and innovative mindset Attention to detail and complex processes Certification in learning and development or related fields is a plus. Effective time management skills and the ability to comfortably work in an intensely deadline-oriented environment

Qualification and Experience: Full-time MBA with proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint. 6 – 8 years proven experience in learning and development and talent management.
