Document Controller responsibilities include typing contracts, archiving files, and ensuring all team members have access to necessary documentation. To be successful in this role, you should have previous experience reviewing technical documents along with the ability to spot errors.
Review and update technical documents (e.g. manuals and workflows)
Distribute project-related copies to internal teams
File documents in physical and digital records
Create templates for future use
Retrieve files as requested by employees and clients
Manage the flow of documentation within the organization
Maintain confidentiality around sensitive information and terms of agreement
Prepare ad-hoc reports on projects as needed.
Requirements
Graduate in any discipline. Preferably 3 to 5 years minimum relevant experience of Document controller
Proven work experience as a Document Controller or similar role
Familiarity with project management
Basic knowledge of labor and corporate law
Hands-on experience with MS Office and MS Excel
Knowledge of Electronic Document Management Systems (EDMS)
Proficient typing and editing skills
Data organization skills
Competency in standard office computer programs including the Microsoft Office Suite (Office 365), Adobe Acrobat, WinZip, Volo View, Web-based Client Portals
Experience with Document Management softwares like Relatics, SharePoint, Aconex, or Documentum, Web based software.
Also, knowledge of Industrial Financial Services (IFS), DocPoint, SharePoint, AutoCAD 2010, GloBus Teamcenter will be added advantage
The candidate should have good English communication (verbal & written) & Interpersonal skill to Expedite with supplier/project engineer to meet the due dates
Should have high level of concentration and attention to details and accuracy of data, numbers and titles being entered into the system.
Experienced in managing/coordinating projects remotely in a globally distributed setup
Strong soft personal skill i.e. team player, quick learner, ability to adapt quickly & effectively etc.
