Overview

As an Ophthalmologist Phaco Surgeon, you will play a crucial role in providing specialized eye care and performing advanced phacoemulsification surgeries. Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive eye examinations to diagnose and treat various ocular conditions.
  • Perform phacoemulsification surgeries to remove cataracts and restore vision.
  • Provide pre-operative and post-operative care for surgical patients.
  • Interpret diagnostic tests and imaging results to formulate treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and treatment strategies.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, explaining procedures and addressing concerns.
  • Stay updated with latest advancements in ophthalmology and surgical techniques.
  • Document patient records accurately and maintain confidentiality.
  • Participate in educational and outreach programs related to eye health and disease prevention.
  • Contribute to clinical research and publications in the field of ophthalmology.

Required Qualifications

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.
  • Completion of residency training in Ophthalmology.
  • Board certification in Ophthalmology and sub-specialization in Phaco Surgery.
  • Licensure to practice as an Ophthalmologist in the relevant location.
  • Demonstrated experience in performing phacoemulsification surgeries independently.
  • Excellent clinical judgment and decision-making skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to interact with patients and colleagues effectively.
  • Commitment to upholding medical ethics and standards of patient care.
  • Proficiency in using ophthalmic diagnostic and surgical equipment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic healthcare environment.
  • Keen attention to detail and precision in surgical procedures.
