Job description
- We are seeking a highly dedicated Assembly Engineer form Automotive industry.
- This role will be responsible for activities in cluster/at supplier base to oversee equipment from design to transfer and will have to collaborate closely with central m tier and purchasing organization to establish a new supply base while maintaining or enhancing service levels (quality, cost, timing)
Key technical competence:
- Comprehensive knowledge and application of Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) practices, with a focus on ergonomics to ensure operational safety and compliance with regulations.
- Proficiency in analysing and optimizing manufacturing processes, specifically in the cycle-time breakdown and efficiency improvement.
- Solid understanding of mechanical and electrical engineering principles, essential for designing, validating, and troubleshooting assembly equipment.
- Experience in implementing HSE management systems and conducting risk assessments to adhere to local and international health and safety standards.
- In-depth knowledge of industry-specific regulations and standards, ensuring that all processes and equipment comply with automotive manufacturing and other relevant industry regulations.

Main Tasks / Missions:
- Identify and develop new supplier bases.
- Collaborate with the commodity purchasing team to enhance supplier performance (cost, quality, technology, timing).
- Lead 'm tier' projects to advance assembly technology or methodology, including standard creation.
- Share and transfer knowledge consistently by leading/participating in assembly networks, R&I projects, and designing training programs.
KPI and/or main deliverables:
- Validate equipment design on time for manufacturing.
- Monitor equipment manufacturing timing (quality, adherence to standards).
- Fully validate equipment at the suppliers site before transfer to ensure product performance and quality.
- Define and apply success conditions for industrial readiness (parts, sub-components, validation equipment).
- Conduct and validate mini runs to ensure proper equipment handover. Achieve initial equipment KPIs when configuration permits.
- Provide equipment specifications, spare parts list, and ensure strict application of OPTIMAP/OPTIPRO work packages (ergonomics/HSE, cycle time, equipment OEE).
Activities:
- Adhere to HSE and ergonomic standards and rules.
- Participate in assembly process and equipment conception with EPM, MPM, and extended teams.
- Support MPM/IPM in technical decisions to improve the process.
- Conduct technical and economic analysis of suppliers offers with the purchasing department.
- Manage design and realization of assembly equipment, including functionality specifications, equipment study validation, ergonomics study, feasibility updates, equipment conformity checks, and plant transfer facilitation.
- Participate in lessons learned, productivity projects, and other activities in the assembly department.
- Implement management systems (Quality, Environment, Safety) and ensure product/equipment confidentiality at the supplier.
Candidate Profile:
Qualification: Master s degree in mechanical engineering or bachelor s degree in mechanical engineering with experience
Experience: 12+ years of experience in the field of assembly engineering in manufacturing plants, equipment suppliers, or as Assembly Equipment Project Manager in an Automotive Tier-1 supplier.
