Job description

Key Responsibilities:

 

• Design, deploy, and maintain local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), wireless networks and Cisco telephonic.

• Configure and maintain network devices such as Cisco routers, Cisco switches/Nexus, Cisco Wireless controller, Cisco access points, and Cisco ISE, Cisco CUCM, Telephone Gateway.

• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues.

• Optimize network performance by implementing network upgrades and improvements.

• Configuration & manage DHCP/DNS.

 

• Implement and enforce network security policies and procedures.

• Configure and manage firewall rules, access controls, and intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS).

• Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.

• Respond to security incidents and implement remediation actions.

 

• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls.

• Monitor network traffic for unusual activity and unauthorized access.

• Maintain network documentation, including network diagrams, configurations, and inventory.

• Perform routine backups and ensure data integrity and availability.

 

• Monitor network performance and identify areas for improvement.

• Analyse network traffic patterns and bandwidth utilization.

• Implement network monitoring tools to proactively identify and resolve issues.

• Optimize network configurations for better performance and efficiency.

 

• Collaborate with other IT teams to integrate network infrastructure with other systems and applications.

• Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to end-users and IT staff.

• Participate in project planning and implementation, ensuring network requirements are met.

• Stay updated on emerging technologies and best practices in network administration.

 

 

 

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• Professional certifications such as Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), CompTIA Network+, or equivalent.

• Proven experience in network administration roles, including network design, implementation, and troubleshooting.

• Strong understanding of networking protocols, routing like BGP/i-BGP/Static and other dynamic protocols, switching, and sub-netting.

• Knowledge of network security principles and best practices.

• Familiarity with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ready to work 24/7 to support business for priority issues.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
