Job Summary
The ideal candidate will drive innovation and efficiency in our machining processes, including VMC, HMC, CNC Turning, and Turnmill. This role encompasses the development of tooling, jigs, fixtures & and clamping devices for new job development. The candidate will also play a key role in training operators, engineers, and programmers and establishing Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
Responsibility
- Lead the development of new machining processes for VMC, HMC, CNC, and Turnmill operations.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to ensure Design For Manufacturing
- Design and develop cutting tools, fixtures, and instruments to enhance machining capabilities.
- Conduct feasibility studies on new tools and technologies to improve machining processes.
- Create jigs and fixtures for work holding to improve accuracy and repeatability.
- Implement cost-effective solutions for work-holding challenges.
- Train machine operators on new processes, tools, and equipment.
- Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for machining operations.
- Proficient in CAM software tools, including EspiritCAM, Mastercam, SolidCAM, TopSolid, NX, and Hyper Mill.
- Ensure Performance Management of Operators
- Implement & Improve 5s , kaizen in machine shop
- Continuously seek opportunities to improve machining processes and reduce cycle times.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to implement design improvements and enhance manufacturability.
Qualification & skills
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in machining and new job development.
- In-depth knowledge of VMC, HMC, CNC, and Turnmill operations.
- Strong proficiency in CAM software tools (EspiritCAM/Mastercam/SolidCAM/TopSolid/ NX/ Hyper Mill…)
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Effective communication and training abilities
