Job description
We are seeking a skilled JAVA Backend API Developer to join our talented team in Muscat. He/She should be responsible for developing robust and scalable backend solutions for our Mobile application built in Flutter. As a Backend API Developer, you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining the backend infrastructure that powers our Fintech solutions.
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain JAVA-based backend APIs to support the functionality of our Mobile application built in Flutter.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including frontend developers, mobile app developers, and product managers to define API specifications and requirements.
Implement efficient and secure RESTful APIs to facilitate seamless communication between the mobile app and the server.
Optimize backend performance, scalability, and reliability through effective coding practices and system architecture.
Ensure compliance with best practices in software development, security, and data protection.
Conduct thorough testing and debugging of backend systems to identify and resolve issues promptly.
Continuously research and evaluate emerging technologies to enhance the performance and functionality of backend systems.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
Proven experience as a JAVA Backend Developer, preferably within the Fintech or related industry.
Proficiency in JAVA programming language and related frameworks (Spring, Spring Boot, etc.).
Strong understanding of RESTful API design principles and microservices architecture.
Experience with database systems such as SQL, NoSQL, and ORM technologies.
Familiarity with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Good communication skills and the ability to effectively convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
