Job Title
Process Operator Hand Finishing
Location
Europe UK Based (Aldridge Office)
Main Purpose of Job
To hand sharpen rotary tools to Customer and material specifications.
Relationships
a) Responsible to: Production Manager Solid Production / Shift Manager Solid Production
b) Responsible for: Quality accurate and efficient hand finishing in line with customer requirements material
specifications and associated work instructions.
c) Liaison with: All RotoMetrics employees / departments
Main Tasks of Job
Deliver high quality performance to contribute to exceptional customer service standards and requirements by:
Conducting blade and clearance prechecks
Sharpening blades to customer and material specifications
Using a microscope to sharpen cutters to finish blades to correct specification
Accurately reading and completing paperwork and routing to next process
Safely operating hoist to handle dies in line with maximum lifting instructions
Handling all dies and all materials safely and carefully
Adhering to Health & Safety procedures and company policy at all times
Wearing the correct PPE while in production areas
Maintaining cleanliness of equipment and work area high standards of good housekeeping are essential
Operating in an area only if trained and signed competent to do so
Adhering to safe operating procedures & work instructions
Promptly referring issues to Supervisor when required
Prioritising work as outlined by Team Leaders/Managers
Supporting and guiding colleagues as and when required
The above is not an exhaustive list of duties and you will be expected to perform different tasks in line with the needs of the business.
Key Skills Requirements (knowledge skills experience and qualifications)
A minimum of two year s engineering experience
Ability to perform repetitive tasks effectively
Ability to use measuring equipment
Proficient in basic maths
Ability to work accurately with good attention to detail
Ability to work without supervision
Takes pride in quality of work
Ability to read and follow instructions
